it was a tablespoon size quantity and it rehydrated really quick but it has idk what in it. i saw a hair after it had already hydrated and some miscellaneous black specks as well. I haven't done anything else with it yet so idk how they'll produce
Originally bought some grains from Amazon and despite lots of effort, could not achieve carbonation or a decent drink. Eventually I binned them and ordered from here and difference was night and day! Beware the second ferment with these grains as they are so active they burst open a plastic bottle. They produce lovely tasting water kefir and after a week I've had to buy a bigger jar as they are growing so fast. Absolutely top quality grains. Thanks!!

This was my first time making water kefir and I followed the instructions exactly. I was really pleased with the results from the very first batch. After making a few more, I realised that fermenting for 24 hours at each stage gives me the flavour I love.
The instructions suggest 48 to 72 hours for both the first and second fermentations, but I’ve found that a 24 hour first ferment followed by a 24 hour second ferment works perfectly for me. I think this mainly comes down to home temperature, as warmer homes seem to speed up fermentation.
I’m so glad I went with this seller. The grains activated beautifully, worked exactly as they should, and gave consistently great results. I’m genuinely delighted and would happily recommend them.
These water Kefir grains are so good! I've bought some live ones before from another well known company and they just didn't work but these are amazing. Instructions were very clear and made the perfect naturally fizzy fermented drink. Just to note, I used raw honey instead of cane sugar in the same quantity and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much!

Haven't made the water Kefir yet, but from a marketing/pr/advertising point of view and being the consumer it ticks all boxes in terms of packaging, simplicity and also the way in which the instructions are delivered. But that's maybe because I'm an absolute papyrophiliac!

I got these and have a batch fermenting right now. It’s the first time I’ve used kefir grains and they seem to be working well. The instructions were clear enough even for someone doing it the first time. Just a note to US customers, the shipping can be slow. They finally arrived nearly a week after the estimated arrival date. So if you need them right away these may not be for you.
